  3. Oh wow, these look gorgeous! I had a look at the recipe on Food52 though and didn’t see any quantities specified for the pistachio butter. Are you able to tell me the quantities?

    By the way, I’m new to your gorgeous blog, and am already a fan. I’ve lost a couple of hours browsing through your beautiful recipe archive.

      hi Jennifer! The ‘recipe’ is more or less a how-to for pistachio butter, so you could make as much/little as you want. 1 lb of the pistachio nuts typically gives me ~400ml of butter. 1 lb of kumquats gave me 3-5 290 ml jars of candied kumquats (if I really squish them), that recipe is more detailed here: http://www.princesstofu.com/2013/01/14/candied-kumquats/

      I like crostinis > sandwiches so that I get more nut/citrus than bread. If you tell me how much you’re looking to serve and whether you want sandwiches, I can help you plan it out.

    I made pistachio butter eons ago and hated (haaaated) it. Saw your recipe, decided to give pistachio butter one last chance, and I’ve been eating it on my waffles for the past three mornings in a row. The orange extract was a brilliant addition. Fist bumps, lady.

      Double fist-bumps for homemade nut butter! I’m so glad you tried it! If you have extra orange extract, add it to your french toast – I use it by the gallons.!
